Irish immigration

A bit of alternate historical background on one of our songs:

A number of our songs come from the traditional music of the  Irish immigrants who came to America when a series of zombie outbreaks contaminated the soil and caused the great potato famine to spread across their homeland. Although England refused to send aid, some brave rebels stayed to fight the zombies. Many, however, were forced to leave their homes forever to find a new place to live and raise their families.

The men, women, and robots who landed in America found life wasn’t easy here either.  Many took hard,  dangerous jobs such as working on building the Great American Transcontinental Skyway.  They built stations and airships that were essential for transporting people and freight all across the nation.  Paddy on the Skyway is a song from this tradition detailing the harsh conditions and great hopes of the immigrant workers.
